I went home for the Easter weekend. To do this, I had to lug a couple of bags onto a bus into the city and then walk them to the bus depot. And they were heavy! Anyway, I was waiting for awhile and then started to get worried because it was 4.45, the time the bus was meant to leave and it still wasn’t there yet. I couldn’t even go and ask, because the bus depot wants nothing to do with the bus I catch, it doesn’t even have an office there. I saw this older looking lady and overheard her asking about the same bus I was catching. Found out from her that because of Easter, it wasn’t going to leave til an hour later. I said to her “In that case, I’m going to do some Easter shopping.” And she offered to watch my stuff for me! I weighed up whether I should or not, I mean, it’s hard to trust people these days. But decided she wouldn’t have much use for my clothes or be able to lift my laptop and besides, she looked nice enough. So when I went to Coles, I bought her a tiny packet of Ferrero Rochers to say thanks for watching my stuff. It was a little thing, but I was so grateful and it made my night, knowing that there’s still people out there who look out for others.

that the world we are living in is getting more and more desolate and cold. Interactions between people are getting less and less as we are always on our i-pods, phones or laptops. Eventually, we are going to forget how to communicate with each other!
Anyway, the past week, I have done a couple of nice things for strangers, given one directions (she had a job interview) and opened a bottle of lemon lime and bitters for an elderly lady. And it made me feel really good, those little things :)
