How I did it: I've always wanted to get out of America and see more of the world, specifically to spend a semester in Europe somewhere. I've wanted to do it since I was about ten and when I got to college I finally had the opportunity. I made an effort to go to all the open sessions and gather all the information I could on different programs until I found one that was a fit for me in Rome, Italy. From here I have been able to make travel plans to othe… Read how I did it…
How I did it: I studied abroad in Dublin, about 10 minutes away from the airport. It made flying to different countries for mini trips really easy.I made a bunch of day trips or overnight trips to some places, and I made four week long trips to the places that I really wanted to see.I can't wait to go back... maybe do the eurorail next time. How I did it: I decided I wanted to do this in September 2007 and actually left on the trip in September 2008, so it took me a year to plan, organise and execute the trip. However I did it all on my own with no help and very little went wrong. The best way by far to travel is by train. The Rail service in Europe is the most clean and efficient in the world (excluding England :-S). I bought a global pass for three weeks which gave me 10 journeys, this wa… Read how I did it…
How I did it: Well I set off on my own while 18years old and traveling through asia first, then went through Europe. As I traveled I wanted to see how many countries I could last being so poor and having adventure for a heart, but as I traveled I learned it isn't how many countries you go to in Europe because really they are all a like and I also did a lot of stupid stuff I regret which I wish to burn behind me and forget, but I guess in a sense I beca… Read how I did it…

How I did it: I did this one solo! My first ever huge trip and I didn't know a soul. Everyone thought I was crazy and my overprotective (still!) parents thought they'd lose me forever . .well they almost did b/c I would have stayed had I not had priorities back in the states. I was told of a travel group for 18-35 yr old called contiki, that traveled to many places across the globe offering many different types of excursions and as so… Read how I did it…

I’m flying out tomorrow for London via Amsterdam. Three weeks, a whirlwind tour of a small piece of Western Europe. I’m really excited.
We now must return our friend’s remains to Germany. Crystal wanted to be spread across Europe, and Germany had a special place in her heart. This is a big motivator to make this happen.
i know how easy it is to travel… saving a couple grand wouldn’t be THAT hard! right?! but i have a killer job and wouldn’t be able to travel internationally for monthsd and be able to return to a job… oh the choices!
I’ve never left North America. I really want to go see the main spots of Europe at some point. My list of (mostly obvious) places to see include:
- London
- Paris
- Rome
- Amsterdam
- Dubrovnik
psnomads preparing for goodbyes and hellos!
So this one thing on my list will begin to open SO many doors…
Im moving back to the UK next weekend with my best friend… Roll on EUROPE! Backpacking and roughing it, we’ll go to spain, france, amsterdam, belgium, Italy… greece… EVERYWHERE.
We’ve paid off the $5000 to go on the trip! Now, I just have to sit back and wait! YAY!

My wife and I both had the opportunity to travel around Europe this year. Like most anywhere you go we found many people who cage us grief and made the trip difficult. France tops the list here as simple everyday things were made hard. Topping the list was Germany, Denmark, Italy and Spain. We found many lovely people who just wanted to befriend us.
Was planning on doing this earlier this year, but it never eventuated. I have my travel guides and everything and was all set to start booking places, but instead my partner and i brought a house.
SO that was Goodbye Money for us.
We both stil want to do this.. so maybe one day
