Met with the plumber. The repairs shouldn’t cost as much as I feared. Hope to start plumbing work on Monday.
ACTION- HARDWARE STORE TOMORROW TO LOOK AT COUNTER TOPS.

Bought exterior paint today (haven’t decided what colour to paint the kitchen, bathroom and living room in yet) as well as some rugs, material for cushions and curtains, pillows and two sets of drapes. The plumber should be here tomorrow (hopefully) for a consultation. Hope to get somewhere meaningful by mid-January when school resumes.
Our rec room is almost done thanks to the many hours of hard labor my husband has put in on it. It looks awesome and I cant wait to show it off to our friends and family this summer.

It’s almost 2 years since we’ve moved in and still there is clutter and cardboard boxes everywhere.
Few steps need to be taken:
Well, we hired a contractor to do some major work on our basement/foundation. It really does need to be done. We love it here and in doing this are committed to staying for quite a long while.
Yees, now both living room and bedroom are new. I’m having the carpenters re-do the finishing in the roof, cause it was not perfect, but now it’ll be good!
Also I got the electrical stuff sorted out, thermostat for heating in bathroom floor (so my guests will not burn their feet :) and a separate switch for the projector in the living room, cool!!
It’ll be a year or two until I continue renewing kitchen and bathroom…
Completely new from floor to ceiling, my living room now is newly painted (with a light color, perhaps a bit too pink), waiting for some furniture. But buying furniture is difficult, as I’m a MAN and don’t know what I want :) I’m getting some help from a member of the female part of the population – that helps.
But the bill will be biig, they had to remove old floor and insert new beams because the old was like a roller-coster. Well well.
Yo, my old rotten veranda is now being rebuilt! Step by step I hope to continue also with living room etc…
We got a quote on the roofing project today. It is going to be a total tear-off of the 2 layers that are up there. We are going with architectual – 30 year shingles, gutter guards with ice and water shield and a ridge vent. Now we are waiting for the quote to include gutters with gutter guards. Hopefully we will set the date in the next week or so for later this summer.
