JOSSLY needs to study & clean
I will be starting at Texas Tech in the fall and hope to make the deans list every year until I graduate. I didn’t live up to my full potential in high school so I will have a do over.

How I did it: My friends made studying a better experience for me. It actually became fun!! I did really well overtime; I admit the first semester was pretty tough, but it became a habit for me afterwards. Read how I did it…

How I did it: Go to class, be on time, pay attention, take notes, and review before tests. Even in a challenging discipline like physics or engineering, it does not take a back-breaking amount of work to achieve high marks as long as you keep up with the syllabus, make sure you're understanding things as you go along, and manage your time sensibly. How I did it: Literally studied my butt off. I made sure that I kept track of all my assignments and my exams. I didn't procrastinate TOO badly. And if I messed up, I didn't give myself hell about it...just tried harder :)Also, I knew that I needed to get above a 2.75 in order to be eligible for my application to study abroad in London next fall. Just thinking about it kept me going. :) Read how I did it…

Oddly enough, I managed to accomplish this goal during my semester abroad.
I got two of my A’s from the hardest professor I’ve ever taken a class from. I haven’t been so excited for an A since elementary school.
So far I’m pretty close…I have a 3.0 GPA, I have to kick up my grades a few notches!
I have to maintain a 3.5 or above for 5 consecutive credits, with no grade worth less than a 2.75. I’m 40% of the way there with 2 official credits!
And when I make the dean’s list… the university will send me a pin that says “MSVU scholar.” God I want that pin!

I took 17 credit hours this semester.
10 of those credits are guaranteed A’s
3 are between an A and an A-
4 are between an A and a B.
We’ll see.
Violinknits is feeling very down, but is hopeful for improvement.
I always used to do so well. Graduated with a 98.75 from high school and was third in my class. Finished my first year of college with a 4.0. But, sophomore year things got stressful with my boyfriend’s health issues, and I didn’t even make Dean’s List (3.5 required) either semester.
This year has been worst of all as my boyfriend was hospitalized the second week of classes and diagnosed with bipolar disorder. I dropped my first class, and even though I have an A in one of my (easier) classes, my two upper-level bio courses are killing me. I have about a B- in both. I’m just not working hard enough. My admission to medical school, which I had when I entered college, is even at risk. I should be okay, but I need to do better in order to be sure of it.
So I want to make Dean’s List again this semester. First I need to bring up my grades. But if it doesn’t happen this semester, it HAS to next semester. That’s the real goal.
Wish me luck?
