When my first semester ended, I received a letter stating that I made the Dean’s List, and I also received an application for the Commonwealth Honors Program. Not only will that look great on my college resume, but they offer scholarship money, and I’ll be able to take classes I wouldn’t be able to take without being admitted to the Honors Program.
I’m not sure what the Honors Program entails, but I’m sure it’ll all work out.

End of TRI-2
I go to school year round so the semesters are called Trimesters (or Tri’s) since there are three per year. I’ve got 20 days, including today before TRI-3 starts. I’d really like to make the Dean’s List in TRI-3 and think I am capable. I want to start now to get some things in order to help increase the odds of making the Dean’s List before this year is over.
For today, I’m going to get an updated calender on my wall to help keep track of what’s coming up, test & quizzes, for example.

the last time I had this goal, I was in an accelerated science program and did make grades good enough to be on a Dean’s List but no list actually existed for the program but, now that I’m in the DC program there exist a possibility of making an actual Deans List -
The new Trimester starts on Tue, September 8th. I’ll have 28 hours worth of classes. 10 classes and 4 Labs and I would LOVE to make the Dean’s list! :)

Kika is still on a Bono high from Saturday
Have one last major paper due Friday, and I am feeling the pressure. I’ve currently got a 100% average, and the thought of losing that is freaking me out.
My best friend tells me to strive for excellence, not perfection, but I’m not listening well right now.

upward trend

Dean’s List at my university is a 3.6 or higher for the semester. This past semester (my fourth) I came closer to Dean’s List than I ever have before with a 3.4 GPA (and taking more credits than I ever had before). I’ve noticed that both years I did better second semester than first, but I’m really hoping that this fall I can finally make Dean’s List. I’ll only be taking 5 classes, and I’m finally done with my major requirements that all of the pre-med kids are in, so hopefully the curves won’t be as badly skewed this fall. Also, humanities classes seem to be helping me out. I’m going to have to work insanely hard (plus TA, plus research, plus work-study, plus cheerleading), but I think I can do it.
I guess I’ll see how I feel after about a month of all of that.

JOSSLY is going home for thanksgiving
I will be starting at Texas Tech in the fall and hope to make the deans list every year until I graduate. I didn’t live up to my full potential in high school so I will have a do over.

Oddly enough, I managed to accomplish this goal during my semester abroad.
I got two of my A’s from the hardest professor I’ve ever taken a class from. I haven’t been so excited for an A since elementary school.

So far I’m pretty close…I have a 3.0 GPA, I have to kick up my grades a few notches!

I have to maintain a 3.5 or above for 5 consecutive credits, with no grade worth less than a 2.75. I’m 40% of the way there with 2 official credits!
And when I make the dean’s list… the university will send me a pin that says “MSVU scholar.” God I want that pin!
