I decided to forgo the tedious rewriting of the pattern and try again in the morning. Piece of cake! I was doing the turn over and over and over until I had nothing but a twisted mess in the middle. Now it’s peachy. 5 years ago

Based on what I remembered from Stitches East, I got out my handy dandy book and followed the directions. No problem. I swatched three turns and set out to incorporate the cable into the little hat. The problem lay in following the rest of her directions. I ended up doing the turn too many times in a row because of the complications of using dpn, repeated pattern x3, repeated rowx3,and repeated section x 3. Aaugggghhhh. I threw it in my bag and stalked to the computer in disgust. I’m going to spell it all out row-by row and try again. I believe that will do the trick since I proved I can make a cable. 5 years ago

At the Stitches East class, I didn’t get to the part of the project with the cable stitches. I decided to be happy with the other new skills I learned and call it a day. No regrets, and it’s still on my list. 5 years ago

I’ll be doing some cables in a baby hat in November. So many skills in one day! 5 years ago
