break 600 on my math SAT

Yep. I made a 680 on mine, some 30 years ago.

Since then, all I do is go into a coffee shop, announce “I made a 680 on my Math SAT!” and I can get a cup of coffee for a buck. Two bucks if it happens to be a fancy coffee shop.

Not that I was really happy about it. 620… I got 710 on the verbal – er, “critical reading” – and 640 on the writing. I am one of the worst writers I know and I absolutely love math. But I took them again almost 2 weeks ago and hopefully my math score went up :)

I need to break 600, because the damn 580 I have is not cutting it. I could do to improve my Verbal score, too, but it’s not as bad as the Math so I won’t focus on it. I would like to get it in the higher 700s, though. Meh.

Go to an SAT prep class, or find someone to tutor you after school. Get yourself an SAT study book, do practice tests…you can do it! Good luck!
