I have observed whales just off of Kaanapali beach on Maui. I saw one in the evening where hours earlier I had been swimming. They are huge and amazing creatures. I was not even really seeking this adventure although in the winter months it is almost hard to miss them if you spend time around or on the water. 4 years ago

In the mid to late winter, take a tour on one of the many catamarans to Molokini, and you are almost guaranteed to see humpbacks. 6 years ago
