I sent in my app back in September. Got confirmation that PSR received it. And now I wait. For a while. But it’s most def worth it because I love Philmont and am soooo ready to go back.

my friends and i that work at a summer camp plan on applying for jobs at philmont and taking a road trip out there. they seem to be understaffed since they said if you are 18 you can start working next week when we were there but we are eagle scouts and by the time we are 18 will have worked 4 years at a camp.

THE summer camp. To get a job there it is helpful to be an Eagle Scout and have been a camper there a few times (Rayado and/ or trail crew is better than camper) Apply early. September is not too early. Once sitting around a camp one staffer said any of you guys (other staff) young eagle’s, all of us got our eagle’s late 17-18. My favorite camp and some of the best times in my college days. I saw the camp as a Ranger, but I really saw the camp and Colorado as a conservation grunt (I was a machine hike for days with the heaviest pack)
