it's an ongoing thing... 14 months ago

...but the ability to continue the action of this is sacred.

i think it was easiest to let possessions go to mail-art pen pals, charities, and soup kitchens… after i roamed the city with one bag of essentials for weeks.

now it all comes more naturally.

Setting myself free 2 years ago

I’ve been a hoarder but now I am going to put all of my possessions on ebay and have a nice holiday abroad and see a bit of the world with the proceeds.

    Wonderful Goal! 2 years ago

I think that, at least for me, sentimentality has become an excuse for holding onto things whose memories do more harm than good. I’m also a bit obsessive-compulsive when it comes to keeping things I ‘just might use in the future, you never know.’ I didn’t realize I had so much stuff until I had to move. It’s been about 2 months in the new place and I still haven’t unpacked 6 or so giant boxes – and not really needed the stuff inside. Eureka! :) It’ll take a while, but this has just become a goal of mine.

This is my goal for my new bedroom. :)
I should modify it a bit, though—I live in a co-op. If I purged my entire home of everything I thought was useless or ugly… well… we’d have a lot less furniture, for starters! Anyway, I’m only talking about MY room here.
