Have a deal pulled together and on the table for negotiation. Complete the transaction during 2008.
I started Organic Pop as a side business last year found it to be very simple. I used an incorporation company which basically did all of the work for me in a matter of a few weeks. The biggest benefit in starting your own LLC is for tax shelter purposes which can be real handy to have.
My sister owns a vintage store that I have been working in for over 6 years. When we first opened, we had a nice sized shop in which we sold furniture, home decor items and some jewelry. We would buy Estates and sell some items for people to make some money for them and ourselves. One day when we bought an estate from a family, there were clothes involved.
I fell in love with Vintage Clothing!
We moved to a new location after the building we were in got sold to the city to build more apartments. At the new place, we couldn’t easily load and unload furniture, so we stuck with small tables and chairs and cutesy things, with the majority of our items being dresses and other vintage clothes.
We finally got settled into a new building, with an enormous amount of space, so we carry TONS of furniture, and 2 small rooms of clothing. I want to close of those 2 rooms and make a nice office for me and my sister and the rest of the consignors, and open up my own business dealing with the clothing.
To make a long story even LONGER… I am about to become part-owner of the store, so changes are already being made to get to my goal!
