I’m trying to be tighter with my money these days. I make more than enough to keep me going from day to day yet money always seems tight. I’ve no idea where it goes. I should make a budget, I know, but I’ll just try and be more careful for the time being.
How is this relevant to this goal? The Toastmasters Concordia Club membership costs approximately 120$, if I remember correctly. I’m not sure if I should take part. In a sense it’s an investment in myself, a wise investment in capital if you like. Businesses that scrounge for every penny do not succeed longterm. Businesses that invest wisely in capital, human or otherwise, tend to dominate through sheer applied innovation. This is why companies spend billions on R&D.
All this to say: I’m not sure how wise my investment in the Toastmasters Club will be. I’ve yet a few weeks to decide…
