typing this entry is a testament to my joining the local libraby. it was quite the mission it has to be said! as i dont have a car that easily accessible i had to hoof it down the road a bit (this i realise is by far the better option for bothe the environment and my body, and now that i have done the walk i know it only takes an easy 20mins.), and climb about 20 billion steps to make into the actual building. apparntly due to my lack of identity i can only join as a temporary member. who’d have thought that i would need to show such vast amounts of id purely to join a library. but hey here i am loving the books and finally computer and internet access! loving it.

I didn’t even have to join again, they reactivated my old card! And it’s all gone high tech now – I have a pin number and I can search the catalogue and reserve books on line….
Local library seems to be very much focused on chick lit and travel books – but I did find a wee history section which I will go through extensively…most of the books there seem like nobody has taken them out this century…I shall see what I can do about that :-)
I borrowed 3 books – I college, 1 fluff and 1 from the Big Read list…..two of them read already! This is GREAT!

But I finally had all the right paperwork and identification on me at once when I had enough time and I’ve walked away with a card to my local public library.

I am moving soon and will be near a library that’s open on Saturdays for the first time in a while.
