Have more me days

on Thursday, decided to blow off uni, go see some art. sip tea, walk along the waterfront, have some cake and buy glitter and ribbon for my christmas cards. It was lovely. Then on Saturday, my lovely boy dragged me out of bed to go push buttons and twizzel knobs at the discovery museum, we treated ourselves to cookies and tea in the cafe and learnt about whor toon through the ages and that there was once a leprosy hospital at the bottom of the green where I live. Then off we popped to a nearby eatery and was treated to yummy grub and refreshing beverages… before staggering back home to enjoy a cosy night on the sofa and watched The Weather Man.

in a while. Though I did have an hour to kill in between meetings so I went to BHS Homestores tea room and got me some tea and a nice big piece of creamy cheesecake. I felt a bit guilty afterwards, but I also felt great. Yumm yum.

to see my friend Ben, and stopped off in Manchester to buy £40 worth of paper, for my books while telling myself that it was all in the name of art, previously when I’d went to Paperchase I always had a £10 budget, but this time it was well and truly squashed, though I did have to sacrafice an absolutely stunning 70s retro print dress from POP in the process. All in all it was a fabulous weekend where both me and Ben ended up talking about our other halves the whole time, and watching Bill Bailey eating cheese and drinking wine, we have never been so sophisticated, this was spoiled by going to a lovely seedy indie club called Plastic Palace to drink god awful beer and dance like loons while pointing and laughing at ACE Rimmer looks alikes and Kings of Leon wannabes.

is a day of art seeing, it has to be a day, because copius amounts of tea and cake are a necessity, as is browsing bookshops inside the galleries, and I don’t do nearly as much of this as I should, the last one being weeks and weeks ago, maybe even months. It’s my day off today so I’m going to the Baltic and maybe the Biscuit Factory too, to go get inspired.
