Tango more often

Now if I could just stay up past 9pm – Tangueros like to play late!

How lucky is this? There was a milonga in my town, on my birthday, and my favorite Tango quartet, Tango Number 9, were playing.

We went (of course), and danced from 8 until they threw us out. Lots of vals cruzada, not too much milonga-tempo, and a crowd of expert dancers from a local tango show made this the best milonga we’ve been to since we left Orange County.

I do miss the outstanding Club Danzarin Sunday parties. Monday is greyer without the memory of a weekly Tango dance the night before! But my birthday this year was a close match to those halcyon dances.
