I’m currently working on a (very amateurish) novel titled Fringe. It’s about a group of people living in the Oort cloud of this solar system. They are at war with the people of the inner solar system. The main character is genetically engineered cyborg soldier. He starts off as a godless killing machine. But something about earth changes him. It touches something in his soul and makes him human. Well almost anyways. 4 years ago

This is gonna be cool. I’ve got some great ideas, and the one I’m using at the moment in my book is just the beginning. I’m almost done, and then I’ll work on part 2 of my trilogy! 5 years ago

Well, gotta keep myself honest. I need to write this stupid craptacular novel. Have the premise, characters, setting, etc. Hate the fact that I do. Expunging my brain of these half-baked plot points would be very good for me, especially if I wish to become a better programmer. I need to have a clear brain, so here I go. Let the dump of memory begin! 5 years ago

Well, I am involved in a project now which isn’t exactly a sci-fi novel, but close enough.
I’m helping with the creation of a role-playing game book.
I’m pretty pumped/excited about this. 5 years ago

I’ve already started my Novel and I’m well underway into it, I don’t want to give away the title in case somebody sees it and wants to steal it but it’s going really well and I’m very excited for it :) 6 years ago

I already have an idea for a series of short stories that will appear at my site of music and books reviews , I want to turn those stories into a bigger plot and eventually a novel.
I read somewhere, maybe a comment by Orson Scott Card or Dan Simmons, that before writing a novel you should try with short stories. Let’s see how it goes. 6 years ago

A famous person once said that everybody has a book in them. I’m in the ideas and research stage right now. I’d love to write a sci-fi novel for children, but I don’t want to put any limitations on the content, so I guess I’ll just let the story write itself. If any one has any advice or experience about doing this it would be great (especially about dealing with publishers). Good luck to everyone else! 7 years ago

I’ve actually started. I don’t have the entire story thought out, but have a significant start (several chapters now). I’ve written huge technical books before, and I understand that books are just made of lots of words that you must put down on “paper”. So, a lot of what I’m writing is very rough, very much at the macro level. But there’s a definite joy in going back and refining the bigger picture stuff. That’s where the story begins to happen, and sometimes shifts the remaining bigger picture stuff, but at a fair price. 7 years ago

I have a bunch of ideas for a few different Sci-Fi novels. I have been toying with the idea of writing one for a while now. Maybe it’s time I got around to starting. 7 years ago
