A local coffee shop has a barista one day course session. I’m going to go to make sure I enjoy the coffee shop production as much as I enjoy the social aspect of it all!

But I’ve always wanted to have my own little social coffee lounge! Something very community and social based! Hmn…now it’s just a matter of figuring out what I want and writing a business plan..
I have always wanted to own a coffee shop since I worked as a coffee shop chick when I was a student. So my coffee shop would be in downtown Calgary and it would be so cutesy. Of course I would buy products that are involved with fair trade. As well I would like to bake some of my goods! Yummy, and also sell positive products, such as life is good!
The good is obvious-you own your own place and can do things the way YOU want to. The bad will sneak up on you. 1. Coffee customers are VERY PICKY. 2. You’ll never again have a decent latte that you don’t make yourself. 3. The hours are LONG.
I really have dreamt of doing this for quite some time…
I would consider myself to be of the artsy type, and I would like to have a space to express my creativity (and others as well). I suppose I could do this in a museum setting or art gallery, but I want to have a space where people can come in, relax, and feel like they can breathe…
Who knows…
THat is all…
