How to list 100 favorite memories
How I did it: I looked at photos. I also thought of favorite songs, because I've associated favorite songs with favorite times in my life. I talked with friends, too.
Lessons & tips: Use memorabilia, photos, songs, movies, places, etc. to help jog your memory.

I remember when I was about 13 years old fishing up in Alaska – river fishing…it was the best time that I have ever had fishing. I caught a big fish – I wish I had pictures still….perhaps my mom has them.

I love the beach. The first time we were in Crete we were staying at a hotel that was overbooked. So we got a shabby room and had to wait five hours for that… It was late afternoon when we arrived there after a two and a half hours flight and a 45 minutes bus ride in the hot summer sun. Anyways, my brother was starting to get really angry and bossy, so I searched for some short pants for us, we changed in the toilets, and then went to the beach. We stayed for an hour, and when my father came to check on us, the sun was just setting on the horizon. I’ll never forget this feeling, the ocean waves crashing on my legs, his arms around me and that view. Oh that view. As close to heaven that we will ever get on Earth.
Which, by strange coincidence was the day of my Jugendweihe. She was such a cute baby, always alert, looking around her, reaching for things. And pulling on my necklace and my glasses :D

I miss him so much – can’t explain it…he is the one person close to me that I lost. Earlier last year I lost my great grandmother – whom I really respected and loved but my uncles death hit me hard even though I was in Michigan. I remember me and TK in the kitchen making funny animals out of french bread – I remember us playing cards…I miss that man – too bad he was so miserable in this life that he decided to drink it away…I hope I never become that miserable.
