Visit France

...CDG Airport was pretty much the only place i went to in france, which is why i plan on actually visiting and touring France next year! i guess you could say the only thing i visited while i was in paris, france (for 2 hours) is the airport gift shop and “illy’s”, which i’m thinking is the starbucks of europe. one of the highlights for me though was that i was flying with a group of 32 and out of all of them I was the ONLY ONE to see the eiffel tower as we flew in. but yeah i’m already planning on going back next year, and to 4 other countries too! yippie yippie yeah!

the itinerary on my trip has changed… no france this time. my last-minute-charlie of a friend just screwed me out of a lot of money because i had already bought my eurail pass to include france. now i have to return it, but i won’t get all of my money back.

a word to the wise… plan in advance! i would have if i could have, but it’s my friend who has all the contacts in europe, and the planning is basically all up to her.

i am actually going to do this soon!! thrilled out of my mind.
i won’t be going to Paris, but that’s okay. i’ll save that for a trip with Y., the love of my life.

this trip is with a friend from college. she has a friend from high school who is currently living in a town on the French Riviera! i am so fortunate. it bowls me over sometimes.

I want o go to france to see my family roots and were my great grandparents were born and to see Paris(most likely the Eifel Tower

Currently learning French in school and would love to visit France someday.

I am actually going to do it. An eight day tour of Paris and the surrounding area. I’ll miss the south of France but how much can you really pack into a week? May 22nd and it’s croissants here I come. And I’m going to do it alone! Who would have thunk it?

Can’t wait. So pumped.

to say the literary legacy of Paris isn’t a main draw would be disingenuous

i play favorites
but i don’t hide it
i reckon i could get by on the French now arguing in my noggin
but i want to converse with the natives
and rather not sound like an idiot because I must resort to
metaphors of restaurant going and hotel encounters to make points about world peace and other passions to big for my beginners breeches

hopefully in about 6 years…and by then hopefully I’ll hav learnt some french too!
