Bonjour! I have been to France four times now and each time has been wonderful. From the small villages to the bright lights of Paris, France has so much to offer. The bread is delicious! I stayed with the wonderful Parin family in Villers-Bretonneux (our twin town), northern France. I returned again to Paris and stayed in the Hotel Perfect which is in a great location. I recommend France to all!

How I did it: Well, I basically signed up for this school trip during which I would spend one week living with a French family and one week touring various attractions in Northwestern France. I learned so much French by using it constantly, not to mention a ton of history from our guided tours. It was an excellent experience. Read how I did it…

How I did it: Ive been france a couple of times, and i've loved it every time i've been. Its a lovely pleasent place to be, romantic, cultured and has some truly amazing sights ! Its also fairly easy to get too, get around, and not too expensive either . Cant wait to go back Read how I did it…

Parisian food, Parisian art and the Eiffel Tower. These are the things I want to see and do. Money is tight, I would have to budget for a few months, go without something and sacrifice. Would it be worth it?

I hosted an exchange student for about a month last year. Now, I’m going to be one for about a week and afterwards tour major cultural landmarks with a group of students. So, at this point, I just have to wait until June rolls around. Qu’est-ce que je suis impatiente!

I am taking my second year of French. Not this summer but the next summer i definitely want to go on the school trip to france. that way you dont have to worry about anything but the money to go the rest is taken care of all you have to do is show up. France is a beautiful country and ive never been out of the usa so i cant wait. it will be amazing.

so i went to france in any case… my friend and i split ways for a few days and then met up again later. and i am so glad we did. i went to lyon, and reveled in being surrounded by the language and trying it out here and there. my french has definitely deteriorated since i last studied it, but i guess that was to be expected. still, i thoroughly enjoyed myself. and everyone was so nice to me there. i definitely want to go back and spend a longer time—enough time to get to be able to speak reasonably well. and of course to see other places there, especially paris, and again with y.

...CDG Airport was pretty much the only place i went to in france, which is why i plan on actually visiting and touring France next year! i guess you could say the only thing i visited while i was in paris, france (for 2 hours) is the airport gift shop and “illy’s”, which i’m thinking is the starbucks of europe. one of the highlights for me though was that i was flying with a group of 32 and out of all of them I was the ONLY ONE to see the eiffel tower as we flew in. but yeah i’m already planning on going back next year, and to 4 other countries too! yippie yippie yeah!

the itinerary on my trip has changed… no france this time. my last-minute-charlie of a friend just screwed me out of a lot of money because i had already bought my eurail pass to include france. now i have to return it, but i won’t get all of my money back.
a word to the wise… plan in advance! i would have if i could have, but it’s my friend who has all the contacts in europe, and the planning is basically all up to her.
