Too much to write about!
The Buffalo Chip is AMAZING.
Sturgis is one of those places that was always in the back of my mind. Everytime I heard a Harley start up with a roar, I would wonder what a sea of them would sound like. This year, I had the opportunity to go! We road through the black hills, seeing Mount Rushmore and Crazy Horse, and of course The Full Throttle Saloon and a great concert at the Buffalo Chip. It was just two days, but we packed as much into those two days as possible, making this a trip to remember!
When I was growing up and going to college I lived only about 30 minutes from Sturgis. There is nothing like riding through Sturgis on a bike. If you go, you gotta ride. It’s a blast.
Didn’t have a camera with me this time, but that was alright… it was a lot milder in town Friday night than it was at the concert. I did pick up a postcard though, so I suppose it wasn’t a total bust. Not that it would’ve been, it was fun just hanging out with the people I went with. It just would’ve been more fun if it wasn’t $4 a beer.
Okay, it wasn’t on a bike… I was in my Grand Am. As I drove to the Buffalo Chip for a concert, I was surrounded by bikes. I mean, they were EVERYWHERE. I found myself wondering why in the world I was tooling around with all this extra space in my vehicle. I suddenly felt really wasteful. Unfortunately, I won’t be able to go out there during the week, since I have to work through Friday. Friday night though, I’m going back out there. This time with a camera!
