Have been to Venice, Rome, Naples, Sienna… Everything was so beautiful, thinking about it makes me want to go back to Italy and also to go back to Italian, I leanrt the basics in high school, very easy language(except for conjugation!!) but that was YEARS ago…

How I did it: I cashed in 145,000 frequent flier miles that I'd been accumulating for the last 10 years so we could both fly first class on Lufthansa. We were rested when we landed and were able to "hit the ground running." We rented a car, which ended up being much easier than traveling everywhere by train, and gave us lots of flexibility. How I did it: Since i am living hours away (by car) I go there whenever I need to have a change of mind. Italy is perfect for this! Jump in my car and off I go...The pictures shows me sailing close to San Remo (Liguria). Read how I did it…
How I did it: After 8 months of planning and saving, including registering for classes with my school's study abroad program, I was able to spend a month in Italy. The cost was somewhere between $5,000 and $7000. Read how I did it…
How I did it: Started studying Latin in middle/high school. Decided to fulfill my history requirement a Roma. Spent the summer prior cramming a year's worth of contemporary Italian when really all I needed was practice ordering food and a healthy appreciation for when someone was shouting parolacci (swearing). Stayed in Rome, but visited Ostia, Pompeii, Florence, and Venice. High point was giving a class presentation on the hist… Read how I did it…
How I did it: The drama department at my school runs a different trip during every Easter holiday. I have always wanted to visit Italy, I think because it is just linked with Romance in my mind :P. Hopefully later on this year I might get to go! fingers crossed!
I love everything that comes from Italy. It’s like everything that comes from there is beautiful and more costly. The food, architecture, art…. I don’t just want to go on a whim, think Vegas. Even if I had money to go now I’d want to go at the right time of my life, where I feel like I’d appreciate it more. It’s so romantic. This is a place where I want to go to most, but more than likely will be my last because it will mean that much more.
Ever since I can remember, I have wanted to visit Italy. From looking at pictures, to watching films like “Under the Tuscan Sun,” to reading about the mysterious Voltera of “Twilight” fame, Italy has always fascinated me. Now, after seeing where “New Moon” has been filmed, I have added a stop to my “tour” of Italy. I plan someday to visit Venice and Tuscany (of course), but now I’m quite curious about Montepulciano. I’ll have to do more research about this area and see what it’s like…
I have always want to go for a week and take in the sites of this beautiful country. I have always wanted to see how an Italian family lives. I also want to eat pasta and drink wine, cheese, and fruit until I can’t anymore while hanging out by a beach or a venice cafe. I want to go on a gondala ride and eat real pizza. I want to visit some of art histories famous painters creations.
I’d really love to see all of Italy & travel around it in a camper van – buy the AA spiral guide of Italy.
It’s the only place I’ve ever TRULY dreamed of visiting. Someday, I will go and it will be magical!
