open a boutique

each day I wake up is a gift from God and I have “made committments” to do this or do that but do not follow through; thanks be to God that He is merciful and loving and even reassures me that I only need to trust Him in living in my life…I want attend my church on all days that can (sometimes I have to work on Sundays); but there are weekday services (Life Lessons Classes) that I need to attend at every turn…I want to give more support to one of my Sisters in Christ in our business goal to open a elder day care activity center (Actually it is her idea); for my onw personal goal; I want to open a boutique; last year I took a sewing class to get familiar with fabrics, etc; did not complete the class, however, looking into taking another sewing class…I want to get a college degree or certificate in Contract and Contract Laws; and/or certificate in Paralegal Studies…I am a Senior Citizen and this is another day to step out and help myself and (someone else) in the future…

Ever since high school when i first got punk rock and fashion/ design I wanted my own punky funky boutiques. My first inspiration was a girl named Margurit. Margarit was what I called an “IT” girl in my eyes. She had unique style and charisma kind of like an Eide Sedwick type girl and her own vintage store called “rack and ruin.” It was run in a very punk rock DIY seat of your pants way and I loved it.She got a space on the cool boho street in town called Coventry which had a huge floor to ceiling window on the second level of a building. She opened in the afternoon and in the mornings she would go to different thrift stores looking for goods. ( I’d often see her while hunting for my own vintage treasures)
She took a chance and started the boutique- she wasn’t wealthy , she didn’t have a proper business plan etc. She just had a dream and faith in herself.
I want my boutique to be a work space/gallery to showcase my art and other indie artists designers work as well. Kind of like a 60’s style boutique where every day can be a happening.

owing a my own boutique will be absolutely fabulous! It will be an avenue for me to express myself and help others. This is a goal I’m working towards NOW !! Each year I go through a stage where I’m unhappy. Typically my unhappiness comes from not doing what I want to do but settling for what I have to do. I’m 43 yrs old – and I’m tired. I’m going to be like Nike and JUST DO IT! Look OUT here I come.

I would like to open a bontique. I want to start this bontique in my basement and by having truck shows or fashion parties.
