love God more

Ultimate goal, to raise my child in the lord, rain or shine…..I pray that my son will not only follow christ but have full understanding why its important to know Christ.

I would, too, if I’d remember how he feels about me. Totally smitten in the worst way. I forget, but he’s still the same…

If I don’t love Him, I am nothing. I am miserable. I need to stop loving me as it’s always been and love Him more.

A poem I wrote (lemme know if it encourages you!):

This love that would not let me go…
Scaled insurmountable obstacles, tests…
went through
Fear?
Doubt?
Shame?

untold enemies came up against it
even death sought to try it…

Yet it won over all of these…

What love is this – that would not let me go?

Why would such love have itself focussed on me?
Why would such love hold me close -
promise to never let me go?

The heart of the One who loves me thus…
How many scars does it show?
How many scars caused by my hand does it carry?
Falsely accused of bringing me hurt when the motivation was to save me from untold dangers and harm…
Regularly ignored by my own self-interest and cares of the world…
Almost always misunderstood?
Not often sought out…

This love that would not let me go…
Why does it rest on me?

If there is a greater word for love – I would like to know -
for this care and honour is above love…
It is proved deeper and purer through all the abuse it receives and does not treat me as I deserve but always seeks the best for me…

I am happy above all happiness and
more grateful than ever that this love
would not let me go.

Over and over it proves itself Strong…
and Real
and True.

I gve up..gave it to God and I can honestly say I do love God more. But there are liek a million thigns in my life I need to work on. It never ends!
