So I’ve done one or two photo shoots now, just for friends with cameras, nothing big. But I like it. Because I’m a photographer sometimes it drives me crazy not being behind the camera controlling everything . but it’s something I’m getting used to. As for Alt Modeling, I don’t know where to go with it. I am very ‘Plain’ considering some of the train wrecks out there. Not fair since I’m adorable, but some how in alt modeling that is held agianst me. Oh well, maybe as i get more fine tuned with my own camera i can shoot my own sets. That would be great, because I have a lot of ideas in my head i just need to get out into print.
How to become an alternative model.
How I did it: I got a friend who took up photography as hobbie, and asked them to go to the beach with me to have a photoshoot- got good photos that displayed my body and face. Applied to model mayhem, then worked with two other photographers so far on a shoot- one was graffit, and another was a nature theme.
Lessons & tips: You have to believe in yourself, and go out there and get in touch with people. Make it happen, also take care of your health, hair and skin as well, photographers look out for those. Keep a positive attitude and be easy to work with, that will be appreciated by artists and not close any doors on yourself as well.

I would love to be an alternative model. I am currently 17 and training with John Casablancas but they don’t approve of my different hair styles, my lip rings. I understand when you model its what the company wants, I want to work for a alternative modeling company because I want something out there fun and me.

People keep telling me to go into modelling cause I’m skinny, but the thing is most modelling agencies seem to go for REALLY skinny, REALLY tall girls.
Then I heard about alternative modelling and I’m kinda curious about doing it.
I wanna at least try it, just to see if I like it.
