How I did it: We decided on a whim to go. I wasn't hosting the room, so I didn't handle getting the hotel room or anything like that in 2005. Now that I've been to several cons and have hosted rooms for three of them, I know a few tips of the trade. Read how I did it…
How I did it: I went to the San Jose Fanime con and had a great time :) I bought a day pass and kept my expectations low and stayed open-minded. I ended up meeting up with my now-fiance there, he told me about it in our acting class at the university we go to. A bunch of my close friends from preschool (Crazy that I still know them, right!?) and I hung out at the con as well. It made me feel like I was part of something larger than myself. Everyone the… Read how I did it…
How I did it: Signed up at AnimeSouth.com. Called the hotel and got a good rate.It was great because it was at the Hilton. A lot of people there were a lot weirder and younger than us. Wasn't a huge convention. But we stayed at the Hilton for cheap! Read how I did it…

How I did it: I've been to several cons:Middle Tennessee Anime Convention in Nasvhille Anime Central in ChicagoAnime Expo in AneheimOtakon in Baltimore I hated MTAC and Otakon, but had a blast at both AX and ACen. I drove to MTAC, flew to ACen and Otakon, and took a train to AX. I'm not much in to cons any more, but I recomend going to at least one. Read how I did it…
Joseph Chaparro is my heroe!
How I did it: I booked a cheap hotel(hotel carter) in the center of Times Square N.Y and bought my online weekend pass for the New York Anime Festival which occured Sept-26th-28th 2009. It was so different and so much fun that I'm going to these conventions every year from now on!!!! Read how I did it…

That’s how old I would be in November of 2005 when I went to my first anime convention, MTAC (Middle Tenn Anime Convention).
AND IT WAS AWESOME!
My friend and I were screwing around New Years Eve and a friend in the VA world told her that he’d be at MTAC. We didn’t even know that we in Tenneessee had an anime convention. It was a cheep prereg and only a 4 hour drive! :D
Then that September, we went to AWA in Atlanta Georgia. I didn’t have as much fun there as I did at MTAC, but I think that’s because we progressed from a small con to a big con too quickly.

I would absolutely love to go to an anime convention!! I’d also love to cosplay but then again… first I need to find out where and when conventions are, then I need to figure out who I’m gonna cosplay (atm it would be either Abarai Renji or Urahara Kisuke.. oh maybe Kuchiki Rukia [all from Bleach]... you see what I mean? xDD). After that I’d need to get the costume done and ~ blah blah!!!
Rawr. Too much to do. =_=
I love anime, i dont watch much considering how much of it there is out there and I really want to go to one of these conventions so that I can talk about it and not feel like im the only one that undrestands what im talking about.
I dont think id get a costume but id still want to go just to see how well other people do it.
NittleGrasper is actually quite content
I’m really hoping I can make it to Fanime this year… I missed it the last 2 years, which makes me a bit sad because all my friends went, which left me sitting in the dust.
So… I plan on going to Fanime this year! Well, that’s the goal anyways… this also kinda connects with my other goals like, driving there on my own, cosplaying, making sure I do well spring semester so I can celebrate… etc., etc.

Hmm, I’d like to do this one time. But I’ll put it on my ‘give up’ list, I don’t have any interest in doing this anytime soon. I want to spend those 43 I list for goals I’ll accomplish sooner.
XLightningX is relaxing
I’ve become very fond of anime when before I used to think it was pointless! >_< I really would like to go to an anime convention at least one time in my life, cause I heard they are really fun! :D I hope to go someday to one of the biggest anime conventions, Anime Expo in California, too bad I live so far away! =/ I would love cosplaying Maria Kurenai from Vampire Knight, she’s so evil! =P
Would love to go to one, i only have a few friends who like anime and stuff, so i would love to meet some other people who share my interest, and i think it would just be really fun.
Finally went to ACen 2008. It was such a great experience! Artist Alley was heaven.
thespaz101 is wondering what to do first.
I want to go to a big anime convention. Not just a minor one in some medium size town but one that is days long and has every aspect of anime possible.

“I do photography on the side and was wondering if the conventions have vendors taking pictures of the anime/cosplay people in costume?”
