Last fall, I worked part time too much and didn’t spend enough time on school—expecting it to be as easy as it has been in the past couple of semesters…Needless to say, my gpa fell to a 3.15, and I was on probation for my scholarship.
So, this semester, I worked my rear off. I made As on all of my exams, which pulled up every one of my grades. In Microeconomics, I made a B, International Relations an A-, Italian a B+, and Feature Writing an A-for a 3.5 GPA!! My cumulative was brought up to a 3.38! So close to my record 3.41-can’t lose sight of goals this semester. If I hit the ground running, then I’ll stay ahead so much longer…

This semester, Fall 2007, I made:
Third Semester Italian: B
Anthropology: A-
International Relations: A
COM 201: A-
for a 3.6 GPA!!
That brought my Cumulative GPA to a 3.35
Well, if I make straight As next semester, I can bring my cumulative to a 3.51, so we will see, but I am aiming to hit 3.6 at least again for next semester—and then maybe I can make Dean’s List?!

Grades This Semester:
Italian: Midterm- 83.5
COM 201: 93
IR: 94
Anthropology: B+
For Classes in General
Italian: B
COM 201: A
IR: A
Anth: B+
Therefore, I have a 3.67 for the semester so far, and a 3.37 cumulative if I keep these grades-but I want to get a 3.5. To do that, I need to get straight As. Hmmm…In Italian, I could pull off an A maybe, but definitely not in Anth. barely an A- there…

I am doing much better so far in classes, aka, I am actually doing work every night and am not procrastinating half as much as I used to.
My goals for this semester are:
COM 201- A
3rd Semester Italian- A-
International Relations of the Pacific- A-
Anthropology- A-
to get a 3.41 overall, I need these grades, argh, pressure

So my GPA once again came down to a 3.23, but it’s still above 3.2, so I’m OK. Been staying up to date on all my readings and homework so far, which is good for me, when I used to save them all until the week before the test…I want to make Dean’s List, so I need to keep up the dedication for atleast two semesters, then hopefully this hard working regime will become second nature. I definitely worked this hard-probably harder-in high school, so I know I can do it, it’s just I was unhappy in high school and barely had a social life, so I’m not anxious to get back down that path. Hopefully, I can find a happy middle.

I need to maintain a GPA above a 3.2 to maintain my scholarship. I should probably note that spending time on this website right now is not aiding the process, haha. This semester, realistically, I will try to make an A in History of Journalism, B+ in Italian, B+ in International Relations, and an A- in Writing.
This should bring my GPA up to a 3.41
On my finals, to reach these idealistic, but attainable, grades, I need to aim for an A to A- in all of my classes. Fun study times are ahead, haha. I need to get an A on my final paper in Writing—so I should probably finish it this week and then send it to the writing center next week so that it can be ready by next Thursday. I should start reviewing my Italian vocabulary every day. I should also catch up in all my readings for Journalism and look up the extra credit term paper. This is step one for this week.
