Dear 43 Things Users,

10 years after introducing 43 Things to the world, we have decided we have met our last goal: completing the incredible experience that has been 43 Things. Please join us in giving one last cheer to all the folks who have shared their goals with the world, as well as all the people who have worked at The Robot Co-op to build this incredible website. We won a Webby Award, published a book, and brought happiness to a lot of people.

Starting today, 43 Things users can export their goals and entries from the site. Starting August 15, we will make the site “read only”. 43 Things users will still be able to view the site and export their content, but we won’t be taking any new content from users. We hope to leave the site up for folks to see and download their content until the end of the year. Ending on New Year’s Eve takes us full circle.

It has been a long ride (one of our original goals was to "build a company that lasts at least 2 years” - we beat that one!) While we wish the site could live on, it has suffered from a number of challenges - changes in how people use the site, the advertising industry, and how search engines view the site. We wish the outcome was different – but we’ve always been realistic about when our goals are met and when they aren't.

As of today, you will be able to download your goals and entries. See more about that on the FAQ page. Thanks for 10 great years of goal-setting and achieving.

Brandon ZeringueBlue Cliff in Houma, Louisiana gets an F-

Alright, so I finished the school and graduated with one of the top the grades over all. regardless I wouldn’t recommend Blue Cliff in Houma, Louisiana to anyone. They lead me to believe that I am getting a pell grant for $5,000 and then after three months of school tell me that I can’t get it because I already have the arts degree. Something that I told them at the first interview. I was forced to take out more loans. So that disgusted me. Then there were ants in the building eating the massage oil and things were generally disorganized and disgusting. Some of our books came in as late as the last two weeks of a particular class. I felt over charged and powerless.

I am working on getting Ceramics together. I will finish the massage chapter later in the book. I need to work with my 4 year art degree skills right now. 6 years ago

I got my pelgrant and some loans together and now I’m a massage therapy student. Today was the first day of school and the last day of my job. It was practically seamless. I may even have a replacement for my teaching job coming in. Also, I got some pretty bitch’n rabbit figurines out of the kiln. Rabbits are awesome. 8 years ago

Brandon Zeringuewent in & talked to people.

I found the local school online and requested information. They called me and I went in for a meeting. It’s going to cost $9880 for 9 months of 5 day classes a week. The pelgrant I had when I was getting my Arts degree should carry over. I hope I can find other assistence. I might have to do loans.

I don’t enjoy current my job. I want to put this job behind me. I want to be doing something independent and self dirrected that I can enjoy. I could get into a cycle of save, travel, save, travel, save, travel.

My wrist started to hurt a few days ago. I work with clay and massage so I’m a bit worried. I think it well be ok. I willget a friend to look at it.. 8 years ago
