Don't talk for a day

On the day of silence and people kept tricking me into talking. This year they won’t. I will do it.

that actually would be kinda hard for me to do. i mean in my head it seems easy enough but actually doing it seems really hard.

what if my phone rang
or i saw some one i hadnt seen in awhile etc

i’ll have to do it on my day off

I’ve been having difficulties appreciating the people around me and the blessings that I do have and even greater difficulty expressing myself. I think it will break my habit of speaking too quickly.

This was as easy as I thought it would be!

Lessons learned? Go outside more often you hermit.

I went without talking for 21 days, and it was definitely worth it. I want to go without talking for all of Lent next time. It really makes you re-evaluate what’s important about communication.

but not easy.. it depends actually on the kind of person you are. i’ve gone 5 days without talking to anyone. without communicating was the goal, but i only ended up just not talking. silence teaches you some very beautiful things. have fun! :)
