become a good chess player

I am all set to become better at chess. I saw this program on TV which basically alluded to the fact that chess is in large part something that we can become good at if we could remember the moves. I will therefore be experimenting with this memory technique and try to learn as many chess scenarios as possible.

Bought a book called “Across the Board – The Mathematics of Chessboard Problems” today. I’m very excited to read it. I still need to find a couple of people to play against that are pretty good but won’t laugh at me as a beginner.
