Oh how I long for 20/20 vision.
How I did it: I just found a place in the phone book (because I'm new in town), set up a consultation, thought about it, then scheduled the surgery. I chose the doctor with the most experience in the city. It cost a lot though but I guess you shouldn't skimp on your eyesight. So It took a few weeks between me finding a place, doing the consultation, researching, and then actually getting the surgery. The surgery only only a few minutes but the testing beforehand and the initial consultation took maybe an hour and a half.
Lessons & tips: There are very few complications with Lasik. Its only uncomfortable for a little while. Get someone who is experienced.
Resources: If you can, ask other people who they went to and what it was like. I read reviews of my doctor online by just doing a Google search of his name. I also looked up possible risks. I got a brochure from the clinic and read it over, but I also checked online.

I got an appointment for another consultation. This should be more affordable. If it is affordable, I will have surgery on the same day!

I am going to free consultation today to see their treatment and price. I may check another place later.
i am scared to do this b/c it could go wrong and I could be blind, or just the process of having stuff in your eye, having to keep it open for 30 min atleast…but I will keep it on my list until I do the research and make an educated decision.
the fuss of contacts, buying them, putting them on and taking them off, dealing with redness b/c of that, wearing nerdy glasses…I just want excellent vision so I don’t have to deal with this!
and I even have cute colorful nice glasses. But then people dont notice me they just notice my blue-tinted or pink-tinted super awesome goggles…not me:)
