I climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro in August, 2007. Since then, I have been working on a project to help the Guides. If you climb Mt. Kili, you may have the same feelings as I. If you think you might want to help the Guides, check out my website;

By the way, I was 62 when I climbed Mt. Kili. I was worried about being in shape for it. So, two weeks before I arrived in Tanzania, I spent 12 days walking across England from B&B to B&B – 192 miles. As a result, I was in great shape for Mt. Kili.

Seems like a great travel goal, but for me it will be somewhat long-term.

I plan on spending 3 days a week (atleast) this entire year (2009) training and climbing Mt Kilimanjaro in 2010. Anyone with me?

Well, with the current turmoil in Nairobi, Kenya; I willnot be climbing Kilimanjaro this year. I have deverted my attention to Mount Rainier for this year of 2008. I will reapproach this goal in 2009 and weigh my options at that time.

I started hiking this week. I hiked the highest point in our town… three mile out and back. I’ve got a LOT of physical strength to develop and I’ve got a lot of in-shape-ity to do!

BlueLily91 is getting ready for another beautiful day.
Well, I’ve seen it in person, which I considered to be a big step, and hopefully I’m heading back to TZ next year. Maybe I’ll get my chance. But, in the meantime, it’s just on the list.
