It’s not that often you have a chance to go tobogganing. We were lucky enough to get a chance this year in Eagles Mere, PA. It was a blast, but a little scary in that you slide down a giant hill and out into the middle of a frozen lake. But what a rush! If you ever get the chance, do it!

Living near snow and mountains I grew up sledding and playing in the snow. As I got older I stopped playing outside in the snow, it was a burden. Makes driving more difficult, it’s cold, wet, and I just don’t like it. It’s not healthy to avoid the outdoors for 6 months, so I really want to try and change that this time around.

So fun! Even though the snow eventually turned to rain, we made it down several times each. Isak wasn’t as keen as we were, but we all had a great time, then trudged home to warm up, dry off and drink hot chocolate.
Now there’s a flood warning (shaking fist at global warming) so I’m glad we made it out this afternoon.

Today it came.
It’s still coming…

There’s a snow rumor going around.
We went out for toboggan wax. We’ll be ready.
I can’t wait to see how much better the boys do with their sleds. Well, maybe I can wait a little bit, because if we’re sledding, then its freakin’ cold and there’s snow on the ground!
sooooooooooo much fun. it was valentines day. The first day I EVER went sledding!
pulling each other on the sled in our yard, but it was more fun to go innertubing at Skyline where there were some great runs.
We went sledding today in Michigan, April 11th. It was wonderful to seize the opportunity because I had not gone sledding at all this year or the year before. There was no one else at the park. It was peaceful, and FUN!!! Very very good. Brought a lot of pleasant memories back.
Only made it once with the kids but did make it, 60 degrees out and a lot of fun.
