Ride a camel through the desert

We are off to Tunisia in September and so I might actually manage to achieve this goal very soon! I’m not particularly keen on camels – they always seem so bad tempered, but hopefully sitting on one won’t be so bad!!

We had the chance to ride Camels in the Gobi Desert. I felt a little bad guiding them by their nose piercings, but they were very sure-footed animals so it didn’t seem too inconvenient for them. It feels neat doing something you only see done in movies. Surreal. The sand is unbelievable! Everywhere you look, hills made of soft, loose sand.
It was a wicked fun day. We wore sand booties, buried money and dug it up again. You could even slide down a sand dune on a sled, or even better, run down in a GIANT HUMAN HAMPSTER BALL!!! Sweet…
