I have managed to get some decent volume out there but it’s touch and go. It’s definitely not something that comes naturally to me. Just a word of advice: make sure your hands are clean. And don’t forget to wash up after practicing. There seems to be a lot of slobbering involved.

Karoma is doing alright
How I did it: I found a video on youtube and within minutes I was whistling! I am still far from mastering it but now I can say that I can! I have always wanted to do it since I was little. I was surprised that youtube helped me as much as it did because I have had lots of people try and teach me how to do it and it had never helped one bit. Read how I did it…
How I did it: I was staring at my 43things list and just decided to try it. I'm amazed at how simple it was... About 10 minutes of blowing and I got it. And I've been wanting to do it since I was 5. Read how I did it…

How I did it: I saw the tag for this and said, "Yeah, me too!" I clicked the "I want to do this" button and immediately stuck two fingers in my mouth and blew -- and whaddya know?! Read how I did it…

How I did it: first i looked up how to do it properly online. once i got down the basic principles of how it's done, i stood outside for 3 hours blowing through my fingers. after an hour and a half i started to get some whistling sound. at the end of the three hours i had a nice, loud, high pitched whistle that definitely pissed off my neighbors haha. I looked on YouTube and found that there’s as many ways to whistle as there are whistlers. However I did find one method that I am able to occasionally belt one out with. I’ll take this off my list when I’m consistent.
energy is sadest ever.
I was just sitting here debating removing this goal. I have a few things I’d like to add to my list and this seemed easy enough to give up. Of course I couldn’t give up without trying one last time and I just did it!
Now I need to leave it up to make sure it’s repeatable. But now I have a new hope so I’m not going to give up.
I guess I have to get around to actually accomplishing some of these things rather than trolling my list for things to give up.
energy is sadest ever.
It wasn’t any louder than a finger-free whistle though.
Almost two years later and I still haven’t improved beyond “airport taxiing sound” with a faint barely there whistle. :(

...it’s going on my “someday/maybe” list, taking a back burner to some higher priorities.
Figured I’d get started on this, so, I looked up some videos on youtube. I learned a couple of the techniques and chose one I liked, tried it for a bit and managed to get one really loud whistle off! Need to practice in a bit until I can do it again, right now I’m feelin’ pretty lightheaded, lol.
I was able to do it once!
But I can’t re-create what I did.
