Yay, I finally found something important enough to write in one of my four Moleskines.
ETA: and then about a month later I shredded these pages as part of my anti self hate project.

Ivymere continually searches for her ground, her sky, and herself
at reminding myself to do it at least once a week so things don’t pile up that I have to write about. It sucks when I’m a month or two behind and so many things happened that I start getting BORED of writing it.
I am trying to at least add something interesting to it (stickers, cut-outs, images, sketches, etc) every few days, though. Just to contribute. ;)
Ivymere continually searches for her ground, her sky, and herself
but lately I’ve fallen off the wayside on updating. I really should get back into the groove. I should decorate some pages! That’d be fun, I think and maybe perk it up a bit. I get tired of only writing sometimes.
either write or don’t. this is my third one, I write constantly, whether I want to or not, it’s oddly like diarhea this logorhea. I prefer the graphed ones.

Just sayin’
A Girl in the Curl is back in school
I went to bed early last night (it was such a wonderful, peaceful weekend) and I had my moleskine and a blue-green pen.
I wrote the first thing that came to mind—”the weather is perfect in NY right now; 58 degrees, cool, and it reminds me of home”
The ink made me think of water and I began to sketch the ocean, a tree, a couple watching the sun set.
At least it’s no longer just words in there.
Earlier, I also doodled a Buddha face on the metta sutta I had written down.
Gee whiz my graphical skills have waned!
Blech!

I’ve discovered—this is only gonna happen if I actually carry the beast around WITH Me…ahhh!
epiphany!

“draw in my moleskin”
I want to story-board my thoughts out more
get back to the more graphical way of
expressing myself.
I’ve seen some lovely examples—I’ll try to post some links.
I had read about these things before, but it wasn’t until a couple of days ago that I actually went and sprang for one. Got myself a pocket sized, lined reporter just to try it out, and a package of caheirs for a trip we’re going to take later this summer, to use as travel journals. I really like the reporter, so when I was in the book store yesterday I stood and fondled several different models. Wound up buying one each of the regular plain and sketch book (although I have not broken the cellophane on either yet). I’m not sure what makes them so special, but they really do make me want to write.
