Become a high school English teacher

I am 17 years old and all my life i have had trouble with school, but English was my favorite subject! So i want to dedicate my life to helping other kids like me have a future. I want them to know that they are not alone. i want them to understand that i know what they are going through.

I’m fresh out of high school, but I’m in college beginning toward my B.A. in English, after which I plan to attend grad school and earn my M.A. in English education. My friends think I’m crazy to want to teach high school, especially English since most of them hate it, but I love it and always have. I can’t wait to pass on my love and knowledge to others.

I’m in a master’s program to get my license to teach high school english!

look for a new job..

i need to know how to become an english techer, (pref. high school) I really want ot do this but I am confused on where to start. I just got out of High School a year ago and I want to start college asap. Are there any online ones any one knows about?

A few days ago I found out I passed my PPR test!! 1 more test to go!! :)

I am taking my certification exam this coming Saturday. I still have to take one more exam… but this is very quickly becoming a reality. :)

Im a senior in highschool and I would to share the joy of writing to other people. Make them think about things outsde of their world, be a help, like those amazing teachers that actually help kids better themselves. You know?

After choosing not to go with an educational minor in undergrad because it would require me to stay an extra semester (silly me!), getting my master’s in English, and dropping out of a history PhD program, I am finally going to be what I wanted to be in the beginning: a high school English teacher.

I just found out yesterday that I was accepted into the Philadelphia Teaching Fellows program, a fast-track to the teaching license and I will start teaching in the Philly School District in the fall. How exciting! Now I just need to figure out what the hell I’m doing…

I would like to become a teacher so I can read and write and teach others to read and write and get paid for it. I would have summers off to read and write and travel. If I ever have children they would be able to travel with me in the summertime.

It would be fabulous.
