Well then... 5 months ago

I’m as skinny as ever. I have some tiny pecs and triceps from doing the occasional push-up. But other than that, I’m just flesh and bone.

I used to work out in tenth grade. I got to the point where it wasn’t just fit and lean muscle, a lot more than that, but not to the point where it was bodybuilder-big. I felt really good about myself back then.

Now, I don’t even like putting on T-shirts, because my arms are like sticks.

Time to start working out again. Hopefully I can chart up a workout plan, get my dad to pay for six months in the weight room. I have everything else, transportation, weight lifting gloves from my ‘glory days’, the like… I just need motivation.

EDIT: Well, today I took a step towards this goal. I went to the weight room place and found out how much 6 months in the weight room will cost.

EDIT #2: First workout today! It feels so good to be back in the weight room. I plan to go every other day, work on mostly upper body, since I want to focus more on endurance in the lower body (aka via running and cycling).

Yeah, to get buff and that. 5 months ago

Wanna build the muscles in my body, init.

I wanna bulk up 6 months ago

Well i recently just joined the gym in an effort to bulk up. im 20 yrs old and i weigh in at only 46kg. so my goal is to tank up, mainly upper body as well as keep up the cardio which is why i run on the beach 3 times a week. I try to go to the gym 3 other times a week, or at least 2. But the one thing i find hard is to keep up good eating habits. i usually cave in and eat take away at least once a day, but i wanna cut it down to once a week.

i started working out in highschool moderately just to stay fit, once my senior year hit i started working out everyday for almost 7 months, then i broke my collar bone in 3 places and had to have surgery to put a rod to hold my shoulder together. now my left arm looks like noodle and 3 months after recovery i still lack the drive to go to the gym and start from square one again. My goal is to bring my body fat down to 8-10 percent by 2009…. it doesnt help i work at gamestop where they encourage sitting on your ass all day long. ahhha

i used to have a six pack up until i was in 6th grade just naturally from being so active, but then that year i moved and got kinda depressed and stopped being active since i had no friends around. so i got pretty out of shape then. but then in eighth grade i started doing shotokan karate and i got the motivation to get in shape again. now almost two years later im in better shape than ever and im putting on a little muscle. id like to put on a little more though, mostly in my bisceps and abs. im starting strength training this year so that should help hopefully.

Friends have started noticing 9 months ago

I went out with some friends the other day and they all commented that I was looking bigger in my chest and arms. So I’m really happy about that, at this rate I’ll tick this goal off in two or three more months.

Must. Work. Out. 9 months ago

I deleted my “Lose 20 Pounds” goal and I’m instead focusing on building muscle. Abs are definitely something that I want, as well as indents on the side of my pelvis, for whatever reason. I want my arms and legs to be toned as all hell.

My parents work all the time and very rarely go shopping for groceries/cook at home. We eat fast food alllll the time. However, my mom just got a bunch of cookbooks from our local library and wants to make healthy food at home on a regular basis. I also need to cut out the mass amounts of tea I drink…or at least stop dumping a bunch of sugar in it. I don’t really like soda, so eliminating that should be no problem.

Along with eating better, I’m going to start excercising more. My mom might get me a membership to the YMCA so I can use their gym after school. If that doesn’t work out, then I’m just going to start running and doing crunches like mad.

Now I only need the motivation to get out of this chair and actually do it. Getting started will be the hardest part, but once I get into a routine, I’ll be fit in no time.

gained 6 lbs in six months 10 months ago

I’m a hard gainer, but have managed to increase my muscle mass by 6lbs over 6 months by increasing my calorie intake. I eat loads more chicken and tuna now, and have protein shakes after going to the gym. It’s great but now I have to buy new shirts as I can’t roll the sleeves up now! ;-P

Time to Let it Go 10 months ago

Well, I went to the wedding, however I did not go with pretty firm arms.

I’ve discovered that I can’t do most upper arm toning exercises as they aggravate an already existing pain disorder. And it’s not just in my upper body, it’s everywhere. All toning and strength building exercises throw my body into intense pain and I’ve been advised not to do them. So, I’m going to have to give up on this goal. I’m sorry that my dreams of having awesome biceps and a four pack will probably never come to fuition, but that’s life.

I’ve GOT to regain control over my emotional reaction to excersize!

I’ve gone through extended periods where it actually made me feel good; but I’‘ve lapsed and now it’s the most miserable feeling in the world!

I started running again, but I know the change will take time.
