I have a beautiful butterfly cross stitch that I started. I have a thing for butterflies. I have just begun and because of that, I am actually feeling a little overwhelmed. I need to just pick it up and keep at it.
How to finish cross stitch projects
How I did it: It took a long time to finish and there were months and months I didn't touch it at all. But in the end I found the perfect place and time to do it and finished.
Lessons & tips: Just find the what works for you. 15 minutes a day worked for me for a while but what really helped was doing it in front of the TV.

xoxoxo is done!
This post is long overdue. I completed my cross stitch project at the start of August, which was weeks ago but didn’t have a post written about it. Defeated my personal challenge and enjoyed the rewards!
I honestly do not remember why I chose that particular pattern but I do recall picking up the project to kill the time. After 5 long years, it’s finally done. The stitching only took 4 weeks, the rest was pure procrastination. Lots of perseverance and patience were needed in the process. Definitely how I imagined it to be. I have also come to realise that I find the stitching more stressful than it actually should. It was supposed to be a relaxing activity but I enjoy it more now that I am done with it and have time for other things. This project will be the last for now. Just terribly glad that I completed it.
xoxoxo is done!
I have less than 3 days to complete my cross stitch project challenge. I’m almost there, I hope I could get it done on time. I need to be able to spend the time on something else. I’ve had enough of staying indoors and just sitting around; stitching or worst; procrastinating. I’ve made significant progress and this time around, I am actually going to complete it.
Cross stitching has taken a bit of a backseat to my knitting right now, just because I needed to finish a bunch of knitting for gifts. I was inspired today to pull out my cross stitches and finish them, but then got stuck on my knitting again! But I really want to start by finishing off the edging and framing of the completed projects I have and go from there. At least I could get the done ones out of my craft box!
nevadagirlamber I feel oh so strange
Finally, after two years of putting this off I have completed my final project. No more projects for awhile, at least until I graduate this summer.
I think having this on the list for the past six months has really moved me to finally get it done, thanks 43 things!
I have one I started years ago but abandoned when we moved, and a small one I haven’t even opened…

that Lickle Ted is difficult to do at night bcause it is mainly shades of white and beige, so I am also getting my advent calendar out to do at night. I will work on Licle Ted during the daylight hours!
