"I started taking tennis lessons once a week, and now I relax by just hitting the ball back and forth with someone."
How I did it: I signed up for tennis lessons about 2 years ago, and have improved a lot. The lessons were weekly, and very easygoing... no stress at all. I'm not looking to be the next Olympian tennis player, I just like to know the basics so I can practice on my own from there.
Lessons & tips: Get lessons, either from a company or from someone that knows how to play. Make sure to hold the racket firmly when you hit the ball or else it will turn. Know how serious of a hobby you want tennis to become, then set smaller goals from there.
Resources: I took tennis lessons at the university recreation department near me, the prices were pretty good and there weren't too many people because it wasn't really publicized. Make sure to have a lot of tennis balls; i end up losing about one every time i play.
