Create a pattern and knit a shrug.

...and then my mother made me a shrug and gave it to me on Easter. I’m still going to try to make one though. The yarn I bought is a different color entirely, and the pattern is different, too. So I’ll be building a wardrobe of shrugs. Whee!

I have ignored this goal with the weather improving, starting a business, starting to date someone and other projects. I just got more yarn to crochet my shawl. I am going to put this off a bit longer.

I am nearly 2/3rds done with the shrug. I isn’t perfect. My tension was off sometimes. I am going to let that be alright since this was the first knit project in years. I can work the kinks out on this one and do better on the next.

I hope to finish this project before the dance retreat next weekend so that I can wear it. Maybe I’ll do matching leg warmers later.
