save a million dollars

I’m now more than 20% to saving my first million.

Probably shouldn’t post on the internet about how much money I have. I know how much it’ll take me to get there. Ultimately reaching the million isn’t the goal, but being able to have something to fall back on is important.

Hey but how much is it one million dollars?? Is not possible for me to save it … anycase could ask for some Prestiti and live with what they give me lol

It’s 13%. But will it continue to grow at this rate?

I’m 10% there as of this month.

I increased my 401k contribution 1% in April when I got my raise. I just got a promotion (and a raise), so I’m going to increase it another 1% (but it won’t take effect until July 1). I wanna retire at 55, which is only 26 years away. But who’s counting? LOL

I have a savings account. It doesn’t have anywhere near a million dollars in it. And I don’t earn that much. But I figure if I set the goal high, I’ll be more likely to keep saving.

Also, I did a worksheet that showed how much I would have to save per month to end up with a million in 18 years. It wasn’t THAT much more than what I’m saving now. It may take me 30 years to do this. But that’s no reason not to try.
