100.5 is the local alternative rock station round these parts. One day last summer while I was painting the inside walls of a house, they played The Smiths, Belle and Sebastian, and Death Cab For Cutie all in one day. Plus, the old 80’s hits in the morning and the punk rock revival on Sunday nights are pretty spectacular.

i chose one. it’s 97.1. it plays ollddddd country only. i really hate almost all new country, but the classics are amazing. they’re so gorgeous and full of sorrow. REAL SORROW beneath the hot sun on a day when you can’t find a tree to sit beneath.
