Have my own radio show

I have always wanted to do this! I’d have to play LOADS of music, though. It really annoys me when there is too much talking.

I did it volunteer at the college station. Lots of fun, love working the board and hearing all the new stuff that comes into the station. It can be hard work, but worth it. Start by volunteering at places like that, the skills you learn you can take anywhere if you are more serious.

So with my friend’s help, I did the DJ application for our college radio station. Pretty much all volunteers are welcome, so I got a reply back in about an hour and have been training this week! I’ll be doing real audio over the internet, but hey, it’s a start!

For the last couple months of this semester, my friend Jason and I ran a radio show at 11pm on Sunday. It was great having complete control over what went out on the air.

I went with one of my housemates that has a radio show to listen in and check out our school’s station last night. =)
