Only problem 16 months ago

I think I’m pretty lucky to have very few facial blemishes, but their are soooo many zits on my hairline! I went to the doctor and they told me to use triple antibiotic every night for a week or until it’s gone. I’ve been using it for 4 days and it’s a little better. Also, their are huge grey bags under my eyes and people say to use a cheesecloth and potato so I’m going to try that.

I used to use a lot of products on my skin but I went away on holiday last summer and forgot to use them. I came back and don’t use anything anymore since my skin has cleared up, and it seems to be staying that way =)

chemical peels 20 months ago

well i’m going to try chemical peels. i found some on ebay for a decent price. i’m somewhat wary about the after effects though.. with the skin peeling and what not. but supposedly they have amazing results. and i’m so ready for perfect skin! hoping and praying this shit works.

edit

got the chemical peels, tried the glycolic acid peel… made my skin burn pretty bad and frost up like a tca peel does. i did the peel on tues night and i have had redness on the areas i did the peel, like a sunburn. i noticed the redness has somewhat lightened up but i’m still freaking out. glycolic peels are not supposed to make your skin frost up or turn red or burn etc. i am just praying and praying to god my skin will go back to normal and not stay red. my skin is EXTREMELY dry and right now the skin is flaking off. well my advice to anyone and everyone is DON’T EVER DO A CHEMICAL PEEL! if you must have one then let a professional do it, there is a reason why they cost over $100. don’t risk fucking up and having your face look 10 times worse than before. now i am waiting for my face to heal… it really sucks too because on thanksgiving my boyfriend wanted me to go to his house to hang out and eat, plus meet some of his family from ny. but i told him no way look at my face i can’t go anywhere. ugh it sucked so bad, i don’t want to go anywhere out in public till this shit heals, it looks like i have a skin rash/disease or some shit. YUCK. i bought a neutrogena microdermabrasion kit at walmart earlier though, i heard microdermabrasion is amazing and there is no healing time or anything. now i just have to wait until my face heals before i can use it. grrr… i’m impatient.

grr. 20 months ago

GRRRR. i don’t know what to do anymore.. my skin is such a pain in the ass. i swear i think i have the worst skin ever. i still have some scars from acne back when i was 13 or 14, and now i’m breaking out with actual zits. and its not just on my face, i have started to break out on my shoulders as well. i wash my face 2 or 3 times a day and my shoulders as well but they still won’t stop breaking out. i’m soooo frustrated. i’m about to buy some Proactiv.

Yay! 5 months already and and I have zero pimples! :P

All I have to work on are my remaining pimple marks. It’s a good thing that I discovered Everyday Minerals’ mineral makeup! I’ve been using it for a few weeks now and it really does a good job of covering up my blemishes for the time being.

However, no amount of GREAT cosmetics can substitute for GOOD skincare right?

My Face Skin History

Thanks to my derma, Dr. Arcigal, all of my pimples are gone! I think I had 5 monthly facials (with peeling sessions – free!), 5 separate peeling sessions (free!), 3 months of using Diane-35 pills (was as bloated as hell!), and 5 months of religiously putting on topical medicines. On my last visit to her, she even told me that I don’t need to do monthly facials since all I have are occasional blackheads that can be removed every two or three months. Hurrah!

What remains on my face are hyperpigmentation due to scars. To this, I alternate putting Post-Acne-Cream (the components I don’t know – free!) and Neostrata’s HQ Lightening Gel (way expensive!). I still have my normal topical medicines that include Tretinoin Cream 0.05% (reduces wrinkles), Salicylic Acid 2% (prevents pores from clogging up) and Erythromycin Solution (fights bacteria).

Yay! I’m so happy.

Today is the fourth session of my scrub and massage at the gym. Had the cherry berries scrub and lotion with my favorite therapist Rizza. She also gave me the packages that I can avail… sounds reasonable so I just might get the 6+4 body wrap that can be exchanged for other services…

Maybe having flawless skin out of this experience is just an added benefit because I really go there to have my stressed muscles kinked out.
