I agree… I always sms or call my love to say goodnight…we’re kind of far away, and its hard, but saying goodnight always means a lot to both of us.

cos my man works night shift during the week…
but I always sms him goodnight and he always replies – I go to sleep with a smile.

Growing up it was always said…no matter if I was upset with my parents or not, we always made sure to say good night, sweet dreams, etc. And my grandmother always had a wonderful little saying, I’d share it but it feels like a part of her and kind of personal, but always included “say your prayers”. Good night to me was a sort of ‘hey no matter what happened today and even if we didn’t agree on everything I still love and care about you”. I still love saying good night. It’s a nice blessing to wish upon someone. :-)
