The Progress:
22th April
My boyfriend told me that we could have one for this year, at an empty space we have.
23th April
We chose a space for the garden
24th April
I drew a simple sketch and “the one” with measurements. And I got some potatoes from a friend.
26th April
I…we started to set up the lines in the garden. We continue tomorrow.
27th April
Today I finished setting up the rope, that marks the beds. Then I put potatoes in the ground. So this is the day when my kitchen garden got ready for the seeds, and Im already done with the first bed. There are 6 beds + 4 rectangular beds that encircles the 6. And there are also 2 slopes, which I see as a part of the kitchen garden. I have to take a picture tomorrow.
This evening my boyfriend and I sowed a lot of summer flowers (with the seeds I harvested last year) in disposable plastic mug. Then it’ll be easy to plant them on the slopes later.
1st may
I and my son (4 yr) sowed the corns in the second bed. And I sowed some lavatera in one of the sides of the kitchen garden. This is gonna be like a surrounding fence. I also started to put the leeks in the ground.
2nd may
This day I finished with the leeks, and that means that half of the kitchen garden is sowed.
3rd may
I put the regular onions and sowed a bit of carrot seed. And then it finally started raining. The weather had been SO lovely for almost 2 weeks or so, and now my hands are tanned for the first time in years :) I almost never get tanned.
14rd may
For some days ago i sowed beetroots and a few rows of flowers, and today I sowed more than…at least 200 flower seeds. Ha ha I maybe have used a little too many, but it was on the sandy slopes, and it wasn’t easy to cover the seeds. So now im finished and just have to keep it nice and enjoy.
