How I did it: I finally did it. I had narrowed it down to five colleges, then three, then two, and I finally picked a school. I will be attending Whitworth University in Spokane, hopefully this fall! I am familiar with the college, since my sister graduated from there in '07, and my brother currently attends. I am going to double major in Theater Arts and Communications. Although almost everything in my life will change, I need to experience life … Read how I did it…

How I did it: I toured schools. With tour guides and without. I did an awful lot of reading. I sorta mostly ignored school ranking. I asked everyone for information. I e-mailed admissions counselors. Read how I did it…

I’ve yet to do so. Maybe eventually. Leaning towards VT, like my mother.

I’m going west! and North! Northwest! Now, I just have to figure out which college to go to.
University of Oregon (Eugene, OR)
University of Washington (Seattle, WA)
Oregon State University (Corvallis, OR)
I’m thinking OU…......
maxlapides is back at school
I’m leaving for Chicago on Saturday and I’m going to take my first college visits to Northwestern and University of Chicago.

And a major. Or, at least a general area of studies. I cannot pick from the vast list of subjects I am interested in. Ranging from art to special collections restoration with hundreds of things in between. It seems impossible. Can I just go to college for the rest of my life? Oh, yeah. I have to pick a college, too. I’m thinking St. Rose’s in New York. Or Dominican in California. Shit. I can’t even decide which section of the country. Eegads. Imagine if I could go to another country. Unfortunately, we’re broke. My mother’s job allows a tuition exchange program within hundreds of US Catholic schools. I think my head is going to explode if I continue thinking about it.
Iv’e decided to go to NAU for a couple years until I can get the money to move out of state to California.
I know that I want to go to school for fashion design. But,I’m stuck between he Art instittue of Dallas,Inidianapolis, and Chicago.I like them all,and me and my family all decided on different ones but it’s really my decision to pick one.I have to go to visit all of them(duh, lol) next month to decide by april.i will keep you posted on what happened,my visit, and what school I chose.:)
I need to do this as soon as possible so I can know what requirements I need for college ahead of time. I need motivation to raise my very low gpa. I also need to know if I need to start making a portfolio of any sort(because I’m considering going to some sort of arts college) and if jobs and volunteer work will be important to have(although im sure they will for basically all good colleges)
