I hate to kick Louisiana when its down, but I’ve been to Baton Rogue and HATED it. It’s like someone decided to built a city on a swamp—dirty, dank and smelly. A big yuck

Went to grad school in Baton Rouge. It is a fun town. The state capital is neat. The tallest in the nation. Even if you are not a football fan it is worth going to a game. Whenever you have a 100,000 people in one place it is neat. I would also suggest you check out:

Next to the Varsity is the Chimes. Good eats and a few hundreds beers.
