if we have 2 meals a day, it would add up to 14 meals a week.
I would like to cook a minimum of 8 meals a week to consider this goal accomplished.
- last week 28/09/08, i cooked 2meals. hopefully this week i will do better.
In order to make this goal I have to cook a dinner at least 5 nights each week. I’ll have to do more crockpot cooking or do preparations on the weekend.
Being a single father life is difficult and finding a balance of work, kids & social life is a major goal in itself. Making dinner will provide time to have them help and bring us together at the table (or coffee table).
I made rhubarb crisp for the first time a couple of weeks ago. Tried it again last weekend. I can now say that I’m good at making rhubarb crisp. :) I think I’ll add oatmeal to the crisp part next time.

Cooking at home is definitely a big money saver. I’ve been following recipes from my many cookbooks, but I’m now at the point where I can improvise my own recipes. They usually turn out pretty well!
I actually prepared things for this. Obviously, the cucumber mint tea sandwiches didn’t require cooking, but I slapped them together. The meatballs turned out well, but I loved the baked brie. Who knew it was so easy? Must make that again…
