I really do suck at drawing. My problem, especially now, complicated by my health issues, is not the product, which looks good, but the efficiency of my process getting there. I never developed a solid method and so, as they are fond of saying in manufacturing parlance, my process “generates waste”. Getting faster at drawing is going to be crucial for the next several years of my life. Practice, practice, practice…

I discovered that I haven’t drawn in so long that I’m officially out of practice. The last thing I drew was a month ago, and it was realism; I’ve lost focus on the cartooning style I’ve been trying to cultivate.
Now, I was going to set up a routine for writing that involved me waking up entirely too early and writing before work—maybe I should alternate between writing and drawing…
since I drew my last comic. I wonder if I could still manage? I’m kind of afraid for the result, though…
Style is starting to gel. ‘Bout damn freakin’ time! I’m sort of crazy about this—once I finalize character designs I don’t want them to evolve too much over the duration of the story, so I’m drawing and re-drawing them until they start to settle in my hand.
KP’s going to kill me. I’m modeling the appearance of one of my characters after him.
No part of anyone I know ever makes it into my comics unless they’re have something to do with my neuroses.
im looking for my own style. so far my art looks like a cheap imitation of anime and i really despise it. its not original, and it looks just like any other anime out there, which is why i stopped drawing for awhile. i want to have my own distinct style. im okay with it looking anime-inspired i guess, but im a little sick of seeing anime in my art.
Congrats on hitting this goal of drawing a comic…I have a similar goal but not exactly the same….read the following and you will see what I mean:
If you like drawing as a hobby, then you should read this post. I have been writing the script for a comic idea that I would love to actually create and maybe get on the web…I have a problem…I can’t draw worth beans…although I can draw beans oddly enough. The strip is called Girl Jesus, so if you are not offended by what could be called making light of the lord and savior, and you are interested in reading some of my scripts with the possibility of drawing them – non for profit style…then contact me at play_maker11@hotmail.com. Hope to hear from you – whoever you might be.

PS…ask yourself this question: WWGJD?
I hope this letter finds you all well.
All of you know how hard I’ve geen working to get FA started and how many nights i’ve spent drawing and designing…well. apparently there are at least two other FullArmour’s doing the same. So many thoughts have crossed my mind since finding them and I won’t say what my first thought was. It’s not what you may think but it wasn’t good. So now I’m asking you all for support in whatever way you wanna share but mostly in the vein of linkage.
1. I created a Myspace page for FA please become a friend…the other FA has almost 30000. I need to beat out this number.
http://www.myspace.com/fullarmourstudio
2. If you have a webpage or know someone with a webpage, have them link FACOMIC13.COM
3. If you know some kids or teens, point them in my direction. What the other FA’s don’t have is an actual story….a reason…a purpose for being. I don’t want the story to never be read.
In light of these new developments i’m creating a street team. I’ll be contacting you futher on that. Not much is reqired ‘cept to wear some shirts and carry some flyers.
Thank you all for your continued support.
To be truly blessed is to seek, retain and share knowledge…
